Hello again, Im having a great time with little Eeyore, just a quick question if you dont mind?
She loves chewing toilet roll inserts and cardboard, does it have to be plain cardboard like the loo rolls?? Would anything with ink or colour on it, eg a cereal box, be harmful for her to chew on?

thanks!! gizmo is usually fairly calm and friendly, hes never bitten or shown any signs of wanting to bite anyone (he just makes a funny little noise when hes had enough, its kinda sweet!), so hopefully this will be the case when he has a new friend! your email has given me much more confidence, and i will be searching for the perfect friend for my little boy!! ill keep you updated :) xx

hello, me again!! well, my gizmo was 2 in august!! doesnt time fly?? basically, i'm thinking about getting a new little boy to keep him company! i understand they may not ever be in the same cage, but i wanted to know, in your experience, is it possible that gizmo will accept a new friend enough to have him in his cage eventually? (his cage is big enough to probably fit 5 chinchillas!!) and would i be right in thinking its best to get a boy around gizmos age? i dont work so i have plenty of time on my hands to keep an eye on them both!! thanks for helping me over the past 2 years!! i will send some recent photos of gizmo :) x

Hello Cheeky:
Well, Timmy moved over with us on friday. He is a two year old grey and white chinney. His owner is going to be away for at least5 months so we are gonna have him for a while. He deffinetly has lots of energy and loves to take a bath. My wife and I fell in love with him the very first moment we had him here. By the end of the night I was hand feeding him and he was letting me pet him a bit. We got him some wood pieces for halloween and a small candy bowl and a mask so that he could take pics. He comes out to play around 9pm for about an hr while we eat. we let him go in our spare bedroom downstairs. he has become quite fond of the room and now when we open the cage he runs to the room. I basically sit on the floor and let him explore under supervision. We got him a cardboard box so he can have some fun but he keeps trying to eat the box. I wonder if that is going to hurt his stomach??? other then that he is really cool. today he came over to check my laptop as I am writing this to you and allow me to pet him for a good while and then he ran over me and keept exploring the room. Last night we led him to the rest of the house but he felt anxious and went back to the room. After he is done playing he takes a bath and runs in his cage, so that is pretty good. Another thing we noticed is that he eats all the veggies and stuff out of his food and leaves the pellets for last. hopefully he eats them. I dont want him to starve nor over feedhim but i cant just give him the good stuff. Do you know if we can feed him some of our carrots from the fridge? Thats all for now. Have a cheeky day.
