Comments: Hello, I hope you don't mind me asking for a bit more advice, My 6 year old chin Cindy is doing well since her buddy charlie died shortly after I adopted them as a pair, however, Ive found a 1 year old female chin who needs adopting (the vet said before that a young female would be best if i was to introduce another), I was just wondering if you have any advice/ suggestions on whether this is a good idea/ best way to do it as I dont really have the space to end up with 2 chins living separatly in the long term (its ok short term while introducing). Many thanks for your help and knowledge, Jo & Cindy

Comments: I am English but from China. My chinnie had his birthday on December 1 but I forgot to celebrate it. He seems really sad. What should I do to make my chinnie happy? I don't like to see him sad.
Admin reply: Thank you for visiting. Happy Belated Birthday Wishes to your chinchilla. If you would like his birthday to appear on the Birthday page, please use the contact form on the site, so we can email you.
Keep your chinnie happy, by giving him loads of attention and provide suitable chinchilla toys for him to play with, along with plenty of wooden chews etc etc. Provide a safe and secure area in your home where he can play - make a play area for him with tubes and ledges etc .... but make sure the area is well chin-proofed and he is safe and away from any dangers. Apart from the damage he might do to your furniture etc, plastic, paint, varnish, glue can be toxic and could cause serious problems if they ingest any of these substances. Not to mention, of course, electrical wiring etc Always supervise him - never leave him alone for a moment. Chinchillas love attention.

Comments: Hello ,i think this website is really intresting just a quick question i have a chinchilla called stitch and he is 2 years old and i have just bought a 20 week old chinchilla called Dexter to keep him company it has been 2 weeks now since i have had Dexter but im not sure if i should put them in the same cage yet because Dexter is still scared of stitch but i have put there cages right by each other also ive put them in the cage together but one is upstairs and the other one is down the bottom of the cage. When shall i put them in the same cage together properlyy and do you think the age gap is to far apart for them to get along
