Comments: Thank you for the extremely helpful website!! After reading what you have to say about feeding I realized I've been feeding my new chinchilla too many "treats". This has been a real adventure as I found the little guy running loose in the middle of traffic. I jumped out of my car and scooped him up not even knowing what he was. So, I'm playing catch up as to how to care for him properly. I've named him "Chispa" because he puts sparkle in my day! Thanks again for all of the great info! Best wishes, Maureen

Comments: I'm a first time chin owner and like a first time mother, everything he does makes me nervous! I'm thankful for your site.I especially appreciate how you added some sounds that chinchillas make. It is helpful since my chin is relatively quiet and only makes noise sometimes. However, have you ever heard a chin make a short "hisst" sound?

Comments: I love your website its got so much information on it. I have a chinchilla Charlie (9 years old)he's not been keeping to well having problems with his teeth. My other chinchilla died in may he was 4 died of a heart attack in his sleep poor wee boy.

Comments: awwwwwwwwwwwwww chinchilla's are adorable!!! i luv hem, i wish i could have one, i can't find a store with them around here. i want to get one for my best friend because she loves animals and pays alot of attention to them, she also really wants a chinchilla. they're so cuute!!! they make adorable noises, hehe.
