Comments: I have only ever had rescue chinchillas, as I try to give homes to those in need. It's sad to see how some 'people' hurt these beautiful little animals. So much so that one of my chins 'Peppa' has brain damage, and his friend 'Gizmo' is even more timid than a normal chin. The website is lovely, and a free file to print your own calendar is a nice touch!!

my name is Jo and i am 12 years old. At the moment I have 3 mice. Until last night I had 4 but one of my little darlings died quite suddenly. I have been thinking that since I get very attatched to animals it isnt such a good idea to have ones that only live for a few years, so i began to look for some possible others. Then, I came across your site. Chinchillas look very regal to me and are absolutely gorgeous. So, i have been thinking of getting one. Are they suitable pets for children?
