Comments: hi, im going through a bit of trouble at the minute. Im wanting to breed my chinchillas and im going through the process of obtaining females. At the moment i have two standard males who live together. I wish to keep them in the same cage, but different sources give me different information. Is it possible for two females and two males to live together without fighting in a way that would harm them? if you have any information or opinions please could you share it? Maygan p.s. Great site by the way.

Comments: Hi Cheeky chins Just to say we love having our two male chins one is two years old and the other 4 months. Is it it ok to give them ordinary hay or is it best that they have alfafa hay? The chins are both grey and really good fun to have. Love this website really informative.
Admin reply: Thanks for calling, pleased you enjoyed the site. I've sent an email about hay etc. Cheeky Chinchillas

Comments: Thank you for your information. This is a very informative web. I myself have had a chinchillas for 5 years. He was given to us from a friend when our first daughter was 6 months old. He is gray and very health, name Whiskers. I was just a littled worried about him due to that he has not been his self for a while and I thought maybe he was just getting old. But when I read in your site that they can live up to 20 years, he problay was just not feeling well. Well thank you for your information.

Comments: Lovely site. I found the noises page very useful as my chins make some strange noises sometimes and I wanted to know what they were saying =D. I have had my two boys for about 2 weeks now and I love them to pieces, although I do now have 3 jealous rats on my hands.... Lovely site keep up the good work.
