As you may know i got my first chin 11 months ago called him Dobby [standard grey]. In May of this year I got Hedwig [wlsom white]. Now Monday of this week as I was minding my own business shopping with the family for christmas I noticed a lil chin that had been donated to the store by a person who did not want him anymore he was so very un kept not loved and it just broke my heart I said ill take him I have a spare cage that i just got hedwig out of and into the rather large cage wth dobby so i took the chin home who turned out to be a female so her name is Hermione. She is doing better i have started to hand feed her as she was not eating she is still very unsure as what to make of her new home as i guessed she was abused in her last one so in less then a year I have gone from 0 chins to 3 and counting i think i will let Hermoine settle in and then get a biger cage and try house another female with her for a play mate. This site is just so useful i read back on it all the time esp when i was un sure as what to do with a chin that will not eat. lots of love nathalie and the potter chins xxxx

Comments: hey all, just got my first chinchilla today, and im like, oh wow, nearly crying, hes so loving, he took to me like he knew me all his life, his name is jack and hes 3 months old, at this very moment hes bombing it round my bed and over me like im part of a race track, wanted to say thanks for all the tips on here, i will be visiting again soon im sure
