Comments: Hey Cheeky Chins, Whats up? It has been awhile sinse I have been here. My Chin Pepe is doing fine and he is soooooooooo cute. I love my Chin soooo much and I want him to live a good long time. But, my Chin has not been getting a run latly and I am a little worried about him and I think he should see the vet just for a checkup to make sure he is ok. What do you think? Please e mail me with some info. Also, I really want to breed chins, but my mom says it is a lot of hard work and I know it is but i really want to. I got my chin Pepe for free and I am saving up to by another. I know it might be awhile till I get another but can you also send me one on breedin? and i will skim your website for some more info. Comments: This message is for ALL newcommers to owning Chins as pets. Firstly please read EVERY page of this website for info as it contains EVERYTHING you could want to know about owning and looking after your new little velvet pet
Brenda and I have bred chins for a while now and have learnt the hard way on the do's and dont's with raising chinchillas.
This comming Sunday is gonna be hard for us as we will part with 3 month old Tom who is going to a new home
But Tom has a family relative who we know will take good care of him. Crystal(Mom) is aleady pregnant with another litter...So new surprises there
One thing that we MUST say is that you want your Chins to live a ripe old age is that they MUST have regular daily exercise. A big cage to run around in is NOT GOOD ENOUGH!
I have built a large wire play pen where they can romp around in for several hours each evening. Yes chins are noctural and need to be left alone to sleep during the day.
Carefull on the treats! Raisens are high in suger. Now that's no good for us humans either.
Water...They don't drink much do they. Boil their drinking water and chil it in the fridge and change at least twice a day.
Remember this fact too. No chin is the same, each animal has it's own preferences..You must be aware of that!
