Thanks for the great site. I don't have any chinchillas, but I'm getting one soon and this site really helped.

Hello Auntie Barbara & Co,

We have stolen Mom's phone, as she is being mean and won't let us leave you a message (something to do with - we keep getting sand in the speaker)!!

We just wanted to drop you a little message and say Thank you for all the support you have given Mom over the years. We are all ok and seem to be healing bit more with the loss of Nessie.

Things are getting a bit easier but Mom is worried sick about me (Gizmo), I keep telling her I am ok but she just doesn't listen.

Ooo No she spotted me! Speak to you soon.

Love Gizmo, Missy, Ellie, Rasc, Lizzie, & Toby x x (& Nessie in spirit) x x

Admin reply: Thank you Gang :-)
You are very clever chinnes ... and Toby is a very clever dog ! xxx

Hi, I enjoy reading your page. I have 2 chins now, Fluffy and Frosty, both are about 3 months old. My whole family enjoy them as our companions very much! :)

Hi just read your site. And I read that cuttlefish is good for chinchilla's. It is NOT! It cuts the oesophagus and kills then slowly and painfully. It is unfair for the chinchilla. And peanuts and seeds also kill the chinchilla after so long. Thank you

Admin reply: Thank you for visiting and your comment in the Guest Book.
I have given cuttlefish to my chinchillas for 13 years, without any problems, but I always make sure I remove any outer, hard spine and only giving the softer part.
Peanuts and seeds are bad for chinchillas - if you read the page on feeding, you will see it says to avoid these.

I want to thank you for this informative and fun site! It gives me less anxiety over caring for my little boyo Bob Rosado.
If you don't mind, I'll put a link up on my site linking folks to you... not that everyone who hits my site looking for music is a chin owner, but maybe it'll coax them!
I've actually had guests point at Bob's cage and say things like "that's one giant hamster" or simply "what's that?"

Thankyou for your good detailed reply! It was very helpful, but what sort of rescue centre do you mean? Is there one in Leeds? Where should I go?

Thankyou! x
